Descovy ?is the ?combination of two drugs emtricitabine and tenofovir alafenamide both HIV nucleoside analog reverse transcriptase inhibitors. It is indicated in the combination with other antiretroviral agents, for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults and pediatrics patients of 12yrs of age and older.
Descovy is supplied in the form of tablets for oral administration, but firstly patients should be tested for hepatitis B virus infection. The recommended dose is one tablet to be taken orally once a day with or without food in adults and pediatric patients.

it is mainly used to treat the hepatitis c virus as a nucleotide analog polymerase inhibitor. It can be used with cirrhosis or without cirrhosis, in advance cirrhosis used along with ribavirin

It is not to be used if you have severe kidney problems and other medical conditions. And also if you are planning to become pregnant.
Females who are willing to take epclusa along with the ribavir can have advice of a health care provider,
Males and females who are taking epclusa along with ribavirin can have information about ribavirin.
It is not known that if it can pass through the breast milk to the child or not.
It is better to ask the healthcare provider about the medicines which interact with the Epclusa.
How epclusa to be taken?
It is to be taken exactly as prescribed by the prescriber, do not change the amount of dose until the prescriber says.
The course of medication is not to be stopped without the advice of the health care provider.
Take each tablet with or without food
The dose should not be skipped during the treatment
If the dose is high it became overdose, seek emergency help by the healthcare provider.
Epclusa side effects:
it can cause serious side effects such as
- Slow heart rate (bradycardia)
The result of epclusa treatment can cause slow heart rate along with other symptoms when taken with the medicine used to treat certain heart problems. In some cases, bradycrdia lead to the death of the patient.
- Chest pain
- Not feeling well
- Memory problems
The most common side effects include a headache and tiredness.
Ingredients present in Epsula:
Active ingredients: sofosbuvir and velpatasvir
Inactive ingredients: croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, and microcrystalline cellulose, copovidone
The tablet film-coat contains polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol, iron oxide and titanium dioxide.
Vaxchora (cholera vaccine)
it is an FDA approved drug, approved in June 2016.

It contains live attenuated cholera bacteria that replicate in the GIT, it is specifically approved for active immunization against disease caused by vibrio cholera.
It is supplied as a suspension for oral administration. After preparation, a single dose of vaxchora is 100ml. vaxchora is administered a minimum of 10days.

- Abdominal pain
- Lack of appetite
Mechanism of action:
It contains live attenuated cholera bacteria that replicate in the GIT, rise in the serum vibriocidal antibody 10 days after the vaccination with vaxchora is associated with protection of human.
Zepatier (elbasvir and grazoprevir)
it is an FDA approved drug, approved in January 2016.
Information about zepatier:
It is fixed-dose combination product containing elbasvir, a hepatitis c virus (HCV) NS5A inhibitor, and a protease inhibitor.
It is specifically indicated along with a combination of ribavirin for the treatment of the chronic HCV genotype 1 or 4 infections in adults.
It is a tablet or the oral administration. It is to be taken once a day with or without food. See the drug label for the dosage regimen.
