Zoloft (Sertraline) is one among the antidepressants and is belonging to the class of serotonin re uptake inhibitors (SSRI?s). It is majorly used to treat depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and etc.

Information about Zoloft:

Maintenance treatment:

The patient suffering from depression requires several months of pharmacological therapy in order to recover from the present condition. In some subjects the patients were subjected to consume the dose of Sertraline to be taken per day.

MOI inhibitors to treat psychiatric disorders:

At least 14 days between discontinuation of a MOI intended to treat psychiatric disorders and initiation of therapy with Sertraline. At a time both is impossible as the drug interaction causes severe side effects.

Zoloft overdose:

Seek medical emergency for the overdose and if the symptoms listed below are experienced or seen:

  • Chest pain
  • Stomach pain
  • Cough
  • Fast breathing
