Now, you know about the ingredients included in Dolo-Neurobion Forte. Let us know about the each and every ingredient included in Dolo-Neurobion Forte.

It is used and mostly needed for the metabolism of carbohydrates. It is used as a dietary supplement preventing thiamine deficiency in the patient. Deficiency of thiamine causes Beri-Beri, Korsakoff’s deficiency. It is both available in injection or as Oral tablets. Thiamine is available richly in whole grains, meat and fish.

CYANOCOBALAMINE is one among the water-soluble vitamins, having the effect of high biological activity. It is necessarily used for promoting maturation of erythrocytes (normal haematopoiesis). It is included in the process of hydrogen transport, transmethylation, nucleic acids, creatine, synthesis of Methionine, choline. It also activates the coagulation of blood in high doses of medicine given to patients causing an increase in the activity of thromboplastin and prothrombin. It is effective in contributing to the accumulation in erythrocytes of the compounds with sulfhydryl groups. The major effectiveness of cyanocobalamine (Vitamin B12) lies in the functioning of liver and the nervous system.
Generally, Vitamin B12 is used for simple to severe Anaemia conditions. Mostly used in Post-hemorrhagic anaemia, aplastic anaemia (caused by using drugs and toxic substances), liver diseases like cirrhosis, hepatitis, children cerebral palsy, Funicular Myelosis, Neuralgia, polyneuritis, Down syndrome, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, peripheral nerve injury. Skin diseases (like psoriasis, neurodermatitis, photo dermatosis, herpetiformis). It is available and also taken as injections SC, IV, IM, Oral & intralumbar.
The rare and mild side effects of cyanocobalamine include :-
- Cardiovascular diseases like Tachycardia.
- Allergic reactions like Urticaria.

When cyanocobalamine is taken in combination with hormonal contraceptives it may decrease the concentration of cyanocobalamine in plasma. Hence, it is contraindicative to hormonal contraceptives, Anticonvulsant drugs, Neomycin, Colchicine, Rantidine, Aminosalicylic acid, Chloramphenicol.

The chemical name of vitamin B6 is PYRIDOXINE HYDROCHLORIDE. It is also one among the B-complex family group.
Pyridoxal phosphate is abbreviated as PLP. It acts as a Co-enzyme or as a Co-factor for elimination or replacement or transamination or decarboxylation or racemization and beta-group conversion. Vitamin B6 metabolises in liver.
PLP acts as a cofactor in biosynthesis of five important neurotransmitters. Namely, dopa mine, epinephrine, serotonin, norepinephrine and gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). It is also involved in the synthesis of histamine.
The adverse side effects were always reported by supplements taken only but not by food sources. The over dosage of pyridoxine may result in painful and irreversible neurological problems. The side effects are pain and numbness. It is recommendable to consume in lower doses to avoid side effects.
