Hydroxyzine acts as an antihistamine which reduces histamine levels in the body. Histamine can produce the symptoms like sneezing, hives on the skin, and runny nose.

Hydroxyzine mainly used as a sedative to treat the anxiety and tension, with the combination of others it can be used as anesthesia. It may also use to reduce vomiting and nausea.

It may use to treat the allergic reactions and dermatitis.
